Christine
Pratt. Founder of HR&DM
Christine is
the founder of HR & Diversity Management and has worked both
within the private and the public sector in middle management and
in senior HR management roles. For the past five years Christine
has worked extensively on employment law issues, particularly Employment
Tribunal matters and the application and implementation of Employment
Legislation in the Diversity arena. Christine has a solid
HR background combined with a flair for `organisational methodology'
and a realistic understanding of both the practical aspects of Employment
Law and the urgency behind the drive for legal compliance and best
practice. More recently, Christine has become well known
for her insight and investigative skills in relation to anti-bullying
and anti-harassment issues. In this respect, she has supported
the NHS, various Trusts, a high-street Charity, three County Policy
Constabularies, two Area Health Authorities and a number of blue
chips. She has additionally written a number of articles on
the subject (for People Management and Personnel Today) on the importance
of management training and development and she has spoken on Television,
Radio and at employment networking seminars on Diversity and Equality
issues. Christine is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD
and Chartered Fellow of CMI.
David
Pratt. Development & Operations Director.
David
has a strong background in Training and Development in the Sales
and Marketing arena. He has ability to lead teams, whatever
their skill-set, to meet clearly defined goals and objectives.
He has strong Leadership skills and has both designed and implemented
a series of Personnel Development courses across Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Recently, David designed a series of Bullying and Harassment courses
which he delivered to Supervisors and Managers across Hampshire
and Berkshire; this involved an in-house, tailor-made course for
DERA – part of the Home Office. David is currently developing
a series of training programs, on Diversity issues, which are aimed
at teaching line-managers about the more practical aspects of managing
people; ie: what to look for, how to react, how to work with the
Companies policies and procedures and how to generally take more
responsibility when employees make formal complaints. The
objective of these courses is to enable managers to broaden their
skill-set whilst, at the same time, providing a transparent process
that affords individuals both dignity and respect when addressing
workplace disputes. This pro-active element to management
development compliments the investigative work Christine carries
out.
